Centres win funding to tackle family violence

Federation members Women's Legal Service Victoria and inTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence have been successful in grant applications to Victoria Legal Aid for funding to tackle family violence.

Women's Legal Service Victoria will implement a Skype outeach service to regional and remote locations with its grant of $70,000.

inTouch will provide advice and support to address family violence in culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.

"The Federation welcomes this much-needed funding for our members working to meet the growing demand for support and legal assistance to help women and children facing family violence," said Liana Buchanan, Executive Officer, today.
