Community Legal Centre Assistance Fund and Family Violence Duty Lawyer Fund grants now open
The Community Legal Centre Assistance Fund and Family Violence Duty Lawyer Fund grants are a government initiative to provide financial assistance to Victorian-based Community Legal Centres, Aboriginal Legal Services and/or other agencies to deliver:
legal assistance services by supporting vital programs and services
additional family violence duty lawyers in the Magistrates’ Court.
Applications are open from 29 June 2015 until midnight 27 July 2015. To apply, visit the clcgrants.smartygrants.com.au. Further information on how to apply is provided below.
Applications are open to Victorian-based Community Legal Centres, Aboriginal Legal Services and/or other agencies.
To be eligible, applicants must be able to address all relevant criteria as outlined in the Application Guidelines and provide all required supporting documents with their application.
The Community Legal Centre Assistance Fund grant provides funding of up to $50,000 cap per annum per agency.
The Family Violence Duty Lawyer Fund grant provides funding of a single lump sum payment of up to $50,000 cap per agency.
Applications must be submitted online to the Department of Justice & Regulation via the website: clcgrants.smartygrants.com.au

The closing date for applications is midnight, 27 July 2015.
Applications are assessed for eligibility.
Eligible applications are then assessed for merit against criteria.
Recommendations for funding are made to the Attorney-General for approval. The Attorney-General’s decision is final.
Applicants are advised of application outcomes within approximately three months of applications closing, subject to the number of applications received.
