15 November 2013
The Federation of Community Legal Centres has joined with community legal peaks across Australia to make joint submissions to the Productivity Commission on access to justice.
Set to report in April 2014, the Productivity Commission has been tasked with making recommendations to improve access to justice and equity of representation, including through the funding of legal assistance services.
Community legal peaks have responded to the Productivity Commission's September 2013 Issues Paper with the following submissions:
Access to justice arrangements: Submission to the Productivity Commission (PDF), and
- Early intervention measures and alternative dispute resolution: Submission to the Productivity Commission (PDF)
The main submission includes key contacts for State, Territory and national community legal peaks. For media inquiries, please contact Darren Lewin-Hill, Communications Manager, on 0488 773 535.
