A week of community legal issues in the media

The Federation and our member community legal centres have been working on a range of issues in the media this week, including achieving justice for people with a disability who are victims of sexual assault, family violence, the mental health of prisoners, the abolition of suspended sentences, enforceable standards for rental housing and Victoria's excessive new anti-protest move-on laws, which are now before Parliament.

Here are the highlights, many of which you can read, listen to or watch online.

All Federation media releases are available online, and the Federation posts regular updates on Twitter (@CommunitylawVic). Media releases for the Federation's Smart Justice project are available here, with regular updates posted @SmartJusticeAus.

Media inquiries on these and other community legal issues can be directed to Darren Lewin-Hill, Communications Manager, on 0488 773 535.
