Federation welcomes Federal funding boost for Springvale Monash Legal Service
A Federal funding boost for Springvale Monash Legal Service announced today by Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus has been welcomed by the Federation of Community Legal Centres.
The boost of $400,000 over four years supports the sustainability of the service in delivering legal assistance to disadvantaged groups across a range of areas including family law, mortgage stress, employment law, child protection matters and consumer law.
Springvale Monash Legal Service helps more than 4500 people a year, and this new funding will be critical in supporting its vital work.
The funding boost is part of the $33.5 million over four years for community legal centres recently announced by the Federal Government.
