The Federation of Community Legal Centres offers Continuing Professional Development to our members. Our annual CPD event draws on the expertise of practitioners within our sector. Sector-led skills based presentations aim to build knowledge and skills that will strengthen the capacity of lawyers, enhance client service delivery, and assist lawyers to adapt to legislative change in a meaningful way.
Throughout the year the Federation will provide other learning and development opportunities to our members that may also return a CPD point under a mandatory field.
If you would like to be kept informed of upcoming learning and development opportunities, please send an email to [email protected].
Community Lawyers CPD Week
16-19 March 2021
The Federation is delighted to release the program for this year’s CPD Week and announce that registration is now open via Eventbrite. In response to the sector feedback last year, the Federation has continued to provide topics of interest in a skills based format.
Adapting to the COVID environment, the Federation is providing CPD sessions entirely online over the 16-19 March, 2021. The option of online delivery gave the Federation an opportunity to offer more sessions than usual, and to provide our members with the flexibility to attend as many or as few sessions as they wish. Sessions are scheduled daily at 10am and 2pm and will run between 60-120 minutes each. There is however an exception on Thursday, where we have secured a representative from the Legal Services Board + Commissioner to facilitate an informal lunch and chat style session for our members.
Attendance is free to members which extends to community legal centre staff and their volunteers. There is a small fee for non-members.
