PAST EVENT: Volunteer Information Night

On Wednesday 1st August 2018 the Federation held an information night and campaign launch - to hear about who the Federation is and what we do, what volunteer opportunities are available and how everyone can be a part of building a movement for justice!

What it was about:

We have many exciting projects in the next few months that won’t be possible without a team of incredible, passionate and driven volunteers. At the moment we’re recruiting volunteers who are interested in supporting us in our summit and election campaign to resist the toxic law and order narrative in the upcoming Vic state election. You’ll get the opportunity to be a part of creating social change and learn about how community organising approaches can support and enhance strategic litigation.

Community legal centres are a movement for justice: we challenge the powerful and believe everyone has a right to be heard. But attacks on democracy, racist “law and order” politics, and the widening gap between rich and poor are threatening this. If you’re passionate about volunteering with the Federation and Community Legal Centres to create a world where everyone is treated equally and justly by the law then we want you!

The evening was an opportunity to meet like minded people, build networks and have fun!
