IDAHOBIT Day

May 17, 2019 |

IDAHOBIT on May 17 is a day to stand with the LGBTIQ community.

On May 17, 1990, the World Health Assembly of the World Health Organization approved the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD 10), which no longer listed homosexuality as a diagnosis.
International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia & Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) Launched in 2004 to celebrate LGBTIQ people globally.

Today, we use IDAHOBIT on May 17 to champion inclusion, and build a better world for the LGBTIQ community.

The Federation of Community Legal Centres stands in solidarity with all LGBTIQ+ people and we will continue to fight for true equality for everyone, always.
